Terms of Use for Daya
Last updated: August 19, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Daya ("we", "us"). They apply when you download or use the Daya app. By using Daya you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
Who can use Daya
You must be at least 17 years old to use Daya, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. Daya is not designed for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Your account
Daya creates an account for you automatically so your sessions and writing stay with you. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your device secure. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen; doing so permanently removes your profile, your journal, your sessions, and any photos you uploaded. That cannot be undone.
Subscriptions and payment
Daya is a paid subscription. Current pricing is shown in the app before you purchase, and payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours beforehand.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings, not in Daya. We cannot cancel it for you.
- Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
Purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds are at Apple's discretion under the Apple Media Services Terms, and we cannot issue them directly. We may change prices, and will give notice before a change affects your renewal.
Content generated for you
Daya writes sessions for you using artificial intelligence, based on what you tell it about yourself. This means:
- Content is generated automatically and is not reviewed by a person before you see it.
- It may occasionally be inaccurate, repetitive, or land differently than intended. It is written to be reflected on, not relied upon as fact or advice.
- The same input will not produce the same session twice.
If something we generate for you feels wrong or upsetting, please tell us at jake@agentmirror.app. We take that seriously.
What you write stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you put into Daya: your answers, your journal, your manifestations, and your photos. You give us permission to store and process that content only so far as we need to operate the app and personalize it for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence models.
The sessions Daya writes for you are yours to keep and use personally. Please do not resell them or present them as a product of your own.
Using Daya properly
Please do not:
- Use Daya for anything unlawful, or to harm or harass anyone.
- Enter another person's private information without a good reason to. Names of people close to you are expected and welcome; anything more sensitive is not.
- Attempt to break, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its systems.
- Resell or redistribute access to Daya.
We may suspend or end access to Daya if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.
Availability
We work to keep Daya running, but we do not promise it will always be available or uninterrupted. Features may change, and parts of the app depend on services we do not control. We may change or discontinue features, and will try to give notice where a change is significant.
Limits on our responsibility
Daya is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and we will tell you in the app if a change is significant. Continuing to use Daya after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
